Karen D. Orr, PA-C attended Grand Valley and Illinois State Universities obtaining a degree in Sports Medicine. She also attended the University of Wisconsin in preparation for the PA program at Western Michigan University, where she obtained a Masters Degree in Medicine in 2003. Following that she did a general surgery residency in Grand Rapids until 2004 specializing in general and bariatric surgery. Until recently, Karen worked at MSU-KCMS as a certified general surgical physician assistant aiding surgeons and the surgical residents by providing inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services. Karen joined HealthCare Midwest at the end of June 2008 where she specializes in bariatric patient education, history and physicals, surgical first assist, inpatient consults and office procedures. Karen was certified in 2003.
