Dr.
James Smith received his medical degree from the
Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana
in 1975. He served both his internship and orthopedic surgery
residency at the Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education
Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He completed a residency fellowship
and hand surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville
in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as a microsurgery fellowship
at the University Medical Center in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia.
Dr. Smith is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery, and is an active member of the American Society
for Surgery of the Hand, as well as added qualifications
in surgery of the hand. Dr. Smith joined HealthCare Midwest
in 1986.
