Dr. James Bour received his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit in 1985. From 1985-1990, he served his surgical and urologic residencies at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Bour is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Bour is very active in his profession and in the local community. He is involved in committees and boards at Borgess Medical Center and Bronson Methodist Hospital. He is a frequent community lecturer on topics such as prostate cancer, impotency and urologic trauma. In addition, he has published in professional medical journals and presented numerous papers to professional assemblies.

Dr. Bour maintains memberships in both regional and national medical societies including the American Urological Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the Michigan State Medical Society and the American Medical Association.
