David
J. Christ, M.D. graduated
summa cum laude from Albion College in 1976 with a Bachelor
Degree in Biology. He completed his Medical Degree in
1981 at the Michigan State University College of Human
Medicine, East Lansing, Michigan. Dr. Christ completed
his internship with the Southwestern Michigan Area Health
Education Center (SMAHEC) in 1982, which he followed
with the completion of his orthopedic residency in 1986
with SMAHEC (Chief Resident from 1985-1986). Dr. Christ
received specialty training during his residency in 1985
at the University of Seattle Harborview Medical Center
in Seattle, Washington, in orthopedic traumatology and
foot and ankle surgery.
He
is currently a clinical instructor in orthopedic surgery
for the Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for
Medical Studies Orthopedic Residency Program. Dr. Christ
is Board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery. He has been in private practice as a general orthopedic
surgeon in Kalamazoo since 1986. He has special interests
in the treatment of knee and shoulder disorders, adult
and pediatric fractures, total joint replacement, disorders
of the foot and ankle, arthroscopic surgery and sports
medicine.
